Thanksgiving 2019
ThanksgivingblogThe holiday season is upon us and Thanksgiving dinner planning comes along with it. Families are planning dinner menus, sending out invitations, and looking forward to watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Families prepare massive dinners that include turkey, dressing, casseroles, green beans, cranberry sauce and so much more. Thanksgiving is a day for people to eat the best food they can make and enjoy time with loved ones. Unfortunately, many families find themselves without resources to have a Thanksgiving celebration.

It is important to show gratitude for our blessings during the holidays. Showing gratitude can open our eyes to the fact that others are not as fortunate and can promote a giving spirit. For opportunities to help others in the community, reach out to local food banks, charities, or churches.

When celebrating this season with your friends and family, please try to think about others who may not have what you do. Reach out to someone in need and show those who are less fortunate a little bit of compassion and caring. It may be what one person just might be thankful for.

Columbus Water Works wishes you a Happy Thanksgiving!

In recognition of Thanksgiving Day, Columbus Water Works will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29. If you experience a water related emergency, please call 706-649-3400. Emergency crews will be available.
