Timothy J. "Joey" Murphy

Joey has been in the water and wastewater industry for nearly twenty years. He currently serves as the Vice President of Finance and Customer Service. He began his career with Columbus Water Works as an electrician and advanced through several positions including Combined Sewer Technician, Planning and Scheduling Manager, Assistant Superintendent and Manager of System Services. In addition to his experiences with Columbus Water Works,  Joey has served as a Principal Management Consultant with Red Oak Consulting, a division of Malcolm Pirnie Inc. Through this position he provided management consulting and asset management strategies to public and private utilities, municipalities and other governmental and private organizations throughout the country. Joey is a graduate of Chattahoochee Valley Community College (AA-Liberal Arts) and Troy University where he received his Bachelor and Masters of Business Administration degrees. He is a licensed Distribution and Collection System Operator in the State of Georgia. Joey is an active member of several state and national trade organizations including the Georgia Association of Water Professionals, Government Finance Officers Association, American Water Works Association and Water Environment Federation.
