Division of Water Resources and Managed MaintenanceLynn began work with Columbus Water Works in 1984 and has served as the Filter Plant Asst. Supt., Filter Plant Supt., Manger of Water Resources Operations, Assistant Vice President of Water Resources Operations in 1997, and then to Vice President of Water Resources Operations in 2003, and is now Vice President of Water Resources and Managed Maintenance. Lynn has been in the water and wastewater industry for 34 years, having previously worked at N.E. Morgan Co. Water, Chief Operator for Muscle Shoals Utilities (6 yrs) and Operator for Phenix City Utilities in Alabama prior to CWW. Lynn has very extensive training in all aspects of the water and wastewater industry, security and emergency response. Credentials include Class I Georgia Water System Certification and Class III Georgia Wastewater Certification, Certification for Alabama Vocational Education Instructors for Water Treatment, Certification for Instructional Technology Water Treatment, Georgia Water and Wastewater Institute, and Water and Wastewater Leadership Certificate of Completion, Kenan- Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina. Lynn also taught part time water treatment courses in Alabama and Georgia. Lynn has been recognized by his peers by evidence of Best Operated Plant Awards received at all water treatment facilities in which he has been employed among other various related awards for water and wastewater treatment plant operation. Lynn was awarded the American Water Works Association “Operator’s Meritorious Service Award” in 1994 and received a certificate for a USEPA Safe Drinking Water Act Excellence Award in 1998. Lynn serves on the Georgia Water and Wastewater Agency Response Network, Trustee for Georgia Section - American Water Works Association, and serving on Board of Directors for the Instrument Testing Association and is a member of GAWP 5-S Club.
