Emory Blount
Executive Vice PresidentEmory Blount has been with Columbus Water Works since 1960. He received his degree in Business Administration/Accounting from Columbus College, now Columbus State University, and is responsible for managing the nearly 50 employees who make up the Division of Finance/Meter Reading, Employee Services, and Customer Service/Meter Services. Emory also assures compliance with all accounting procedures as outlined by the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and all state and federal requirements for financial reporting. He holds complete responsibility for all financial investments, monitoring of budget and other related financial programs used by CWW such as issuance of revenue bonds and monitoring of grants. He is also active in several industry and community organizations including the American Water Works Association (AWWA), the Water Environment Federation (WEF), Georgia Association Water Professionals (GAWP), and the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). He is past president of the Kiwanis Club of Columbus.
